Metal Fabricator

You are a SIGN CRAFTSMAN with sheet metal, steel and other materials that make a custom sign. Quality and speed are your assets. Sign Industry experience is a major plus, manufacturing fabrication is a requirement. (You must be MORE THAN a welder).

If you are not from the Dallas-Fort Worth area but meet these qualifications, we would still love to talk to you. DFW is a great place to live (no State income tax and a lower cost of living than many areas of the country) and again, we have relocation options for the right candidate.

CAD-Drafter

Headquartered in Fort Worth, TX, Chandler Signs-LLC is a nationwide provider of turn-key sign design, manufacturing, installation and maintenance of signs, awnings and electronic message centers to the banking, hospitality, restaurant, medical and retail markets. We are seeking a qualified CAD-Drafter to join our dynamic company at our corporate headquarters in Fort Worth,TX. This position is a fast-track position to CAD Supervisor, based upon your abilities.

This is a high computer knowledge and rapid productivity position. Requirements include but are not limited to:

  • Experience in fast-paced, high-production work environments

  • Experience working in a service-oriented position

  • Ability to think outside the box and consider aspects of the sign before and after CAD department

  • Positive attitude

  • Experience with 2D graphics software.  CorelDraw, Flexi, Illustrator a must

  • Experience with SolidWorks is a bonus

  • Degree in Visual Communications not necessary, but greatly appreciated

  • Bilingual (English and Vietnamese) is not necessary, but is a plus

  • Ability to instruct other professionals on complex projects

  • Detail oriented

  • Leadership abilities

Sign Detailer (Drafter)-Fort Worth

Chandler Signs, LLC—one of the nation’s leading suppliers of signage and graphic display systems has an immediate opening for an experienced Sign Detailer position at our Fort Worth Manufacturing Plant.

This is the first step in the production phase of a sign package.  Responsibilities include detailing all structural & electrical components of each sign on an order. Our Sign Detailers are responsible to foresee and resolve manufacturing hurdles in order to produce the desired product results for the customer. They also must insure that all specifications are clearly delineated for the remainder of the production process and resolve complex installation issues with the sign installer (both within our estimated cost for the sign).  Detailers must remain knowledgeable about current technologies in the business.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

•3-5 years of sign detailing experience required. (we currently use Corel x8)

•Above average math skills (some algebra, geometry & trigonometry required almost daily)

•Manufacturing experience (ex. sheet metal fabrication, electrical assembly, reading blueprints, etc.) or material knowledge (ex. steel or concrete design, L.E.D. layouts, etc.) a plus.

•General computer literacy in Microsoft Windows platforms (Windows 10 & Outlook)

•Excellent communication skills (verbal, written & graphic)

•Consequential thought process...able to see issues that may arise during fabrication or installation.

Your Skills:

Using your staffing experience within the sign/manufacturing sector, you will work to support the acquisition of new team members for Chandler.  You will also perform the first phase of interviews to screen potential candidates for basic skills.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Using your existing list of staffing contacts and migrate compatible agencies to Chandler.

  • Establish new relations with industry trade schools, colleges and secondary education.

  • Manage manufacturing tours of prospects and future team member candidates.

  • Work with department heads to facilitate mentoring program for new team members.

  • Coordinate and closely communicate with manufacturing, purchasing, sales, engineering, and project management representatives.

  • Ability to clearly communicate to executive management.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Assist in determination of proper labor force balance forecasts.

We are looking for someone to not only become part of our team, but able to work independently with a professional work ethic and attitude.

  • Manufacturing staffing experience required (3-5 years)

  • Sign industry experience a plus.

Project Manager-West Coast Office (Vista, CA)

The Project Manager's primary duty is to manage all phases of sales project(s) from initial contact and acquisition of orders, support the project through engineering, manufacturing, install and invoicing to later servicing products sold. Interface between landlord, subcontractors, permitting departments, attorneys and property management firms. Customarily and regularly direct the work of one or more other employees.

Industrial Painter-Supervisor (Entry Level)

Headquartered in Fort Worth, TX, Chandler Signs, LLC is a nationwide provider of turn-key sign design, manufacturing, installation and maintenance of signs, awnings and electronic message centers to the banking, hospitality, restaurant, medical and retail markets.

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter-Supervisor to become an integral part of our sign manufacturing process. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting Department manager with production management, including traffic control.

  • Assisting in paint department quality control.

  • Liaison with other departments to ensure traffic flow is maintained.

  • Assisting in training of new paint department team members.

  • Assisting in ordering, stock level management of paint supplies, PPE, equipment maintenance

  • Fill in on front lines during absence or vacation of team members.

  • Other duties as assigned by Department manager.

Your skills should already include:

  • You must be highly organized with good communication skills.

  • At least 4 years’ experience as an industrial painter.

  • Some previous supervisory experience.

  • Clean and prepare surfaces. (Masking, grit blasting or chemical prep)

  • Prepare paints. A high degree of accuracy is required. Use of viscosity cups, thickness gauges and gloss gauges to test makeup of paint and an understanding of chemistry mix of compounds is required.

  • Apply paint. Use of professional painting techniques with industrial spray equipment, airbrushes, and industrial paint booth methodologies. Must also be safety oriented and trained in the proper use of PPE.

  • Clean work area. Knowledgeable in the safe handling and disposal of hazardous chemical and waste.

  • Maintain equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining paint equipment and troubleshooting.

  • Experience in high-end automotive or industrial equipment painting. Sign industry experience preferred.

  • Experience with wet painting using a gun

  • Experience with retouching

  • Ability to differentiate between colors

  • Ability to work on multiple priorities with frequent interruptions

  • Ability to use hand and power tools and equipment

  • Ability to work with all levels of employees

Hourly plus overtime and benefits (Health insurance w/dental, vision options, life insurance), Matching 401K program included). This position is for 1st shift.

This is a Dallas/Fort Worth only position.
