Sign Engineer/Designer
Chandler Signs, L.P., one of the nation’s leading suppliers of signage and graphic display systems has an immediate opening for a Sign Engineer/Designer position at our Dallas Manufacturing Plant.
This is the first step in the production phase of a sign package. Responsibilities include detailing all structrural & electrical components of each sign on an order. Engineer/Designer are to foresee and resolve manufacturing hurdles in order to produce the desired product results for the customer. They also must insure that all specifications are clearly delineated for the remainder of the production process and resolve complex installation issues with the sign installer (both within our estimated cost for the sign). Engineers must remain knowlegable about current technologies in the business.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
•2-years computer drafting experience preferred (we currently use Corel 14)
•Above average math skills (some algebra, geometry & trigonometry required almost daily)
•Manufacturing experience (ex. sheet metal fabrication, electrical assembly, reading blueprints, etc.) or material knowledge (ex. steel or concrete design, L.E.D. layouts, etc.) a plus.
•General computer literacy in Microsoft Windows platforms (XP & Outlook)
•Excellent communication skills (verbal, written & graphic)
•Consequential thought process...able to see issues that may arise during fabrication or installation.
